This is an interesting concept, a reversible poem which is animated and spoken word read over it.  Not bad poem though I think it is a tad on the cheesy side.  It would be an interesting poetic exercise to do as it is a very specific form of parataxis, just like my Plum Flowers poem only the whole poem is reversible-linear rather then all of the lines being interchangeable.  The fact that it is written for the AARP is well…eeeh whatever.  Perhaps I would like the poem better if I knew it was not written to win money.  Either way the poem “works.”

I am pretty particular of the electronic music that listen to and it takes a bit to impress me when it comes to DJs.  The other night I happened to be searching the MySpace music “other” category and found some really sick sounds from DeadMau5 (pronounced Dead Mouse) out of Toronto Canada.  I am impressed, check this music out.

Did I mention that I love the internet? And this is why:

The users over at YouTube have put the 007, the Matrix, the Jason Statham back into X-Mas and Mr. Clause (with sunglasses).  Why not throw in a random ninja, and a Santa Babe as well just for good measure?

Apparently Santa and his gang of elves have gone rhyming and stealing for X-Mas due to the harsh economic downturn…spread the thug cheer!

As I have begun to go about changing many things in my life which I am not particularly thrilled with, I have found myself seeking new ways of being and one of my greatest resources for change is music.  There is a hook in the middle of this Dredg song called “Same ol’ Road” that I absolutely love which is akin to poetic philosophy:

“All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood
In a modest town where honest people dwell
Making the cleanest energy for the greenest plants to grow
Richest soil that is drenched with the freshest rain
Then you should sit in your backyard
Watch clouds peak over the tallest mountain tops
Cuz they unveil honest opinions about the stars”

I am using these lyrics as a kind of personal mantra to help de-clutter my life, my head and keep in focus the things I value in life.  Here is the video of the song which is itself a visual work of art:

If you have not heard music by Dredg, go check them out because their music is amazing and they are even better live.

This is a cool 8 bit music video called “Starlight” by a Japanese 8 bit band called YMCK that you should check out.

I saw YMCK perform live with my friends Alexis and John at the Japan! Culture + Hyper Culture 2008 festival in Washington D.C. at the Kennedy Center.  It would be great to see them at a smaller venue where I could get up closer to the stage.

Ninjas are awesome. Pirates are not. Period. . .I mean do Pirates get their own day? Didn’t think so.

This video just one of the many reasons why I love Ninjas. Intelligent, crafty, deceptive and Gangstaaa! Who knew?  Thought that these Ninjas were out-manned and surrounded by a whole fleet of Pirates?  No seriously what were you thinking?  Ok, if Pirates are so great then why don’t they have a rad super awesome podcast called “Ask a Pirate?” Yeah they don’t. Exactly! I mean look what happens to Pirates:

Happy Day of the Ninja everyone…and as Ask A Ninja would say:

“I look forward to killing you soon.”

As with every piece of technology anything that can FAIL, it will FAIL and inevitably it will not be fun.  I had enough of failin like McPalin trying to migrate my old blog posts from the old database which probably don’t matter anyway now that I am taking my whole site in a different direction, new structure, new content, new categories etc.

Thankfully I can appreciate, laugh at this, step away from the computer and take some solace in knowing that there are always bigger FAILS out there so might as well laugh about it anyway and enjoy life a bit.  If you have not already checked out the FAIL BLOG do so.  Some really great FAIL content there that is guarenteed to brighten your worst days of FAILure.

Seriously don’t dance or pretend that you know how if you just don’t:

So yeah I think that the title of this blog posting says it all…

There was come decent commentary on iPhone Savior with some supporting articles on ABC and the NY Daily News.  Since I am not a fan of rehashing check out the above links for more commentary and watch these two videos:

And another Walmart customer may have lost her baby because of this incident which makes me very sad (speaking from the father perspective):

Some open questions about this event:

  1. Is Walmart liable for not providing enough security to protect its own employees and patrons?
  2. Can Walmart even be legally charged & what is the legal precedence for this in regards to corporations?
  3. Can a mob of people even be legally prosecuted for this crime?
  4. How can events like this be prevented in the future, given Walmart has no crystal ball?
  5. Should it so how much should the family of the victims receive?
  6. How can we change the culture that encourages or allows for this kind of behavior?

Let me know what you think by leaving a comment, link to sources if you have facts.

Palin rode into the debates on a dog sled…now let hope she does the same thing all the way back to Alaska never to be heard from again. Hopefully she can take Hillary aka “Permafrost” with her too.
