Several months ago I started an endeavor I called “Perpetual Poem” as I was starting to see smatterings of poetry trickling onto Twitter. Well while I have been busy working on more “professional” things the twitter poetry has turned into a full blown torrent with all kinds of twitter Haiku or as they call them now “Twaiku.” I had a feeling that the haiku form would blow up on Twitter because of the 140 character limit and /’s could be used to indicate line breaks. Looks like I was really right!
So you can expect a video blog entry about Twitter as it’s own social poetic form, a new media-um for dynamic and convergent poetry some time in the near future.
