We’re really not into football at all.  Ever since the old school Washington Redskins had an awesome run and then the team headed south decades ago, I just can’t get back into it. Maybe once you go MMA you can’t go back?  Whatever, I don’t know, my head is not in that game anymore.  However, since moving to PDX my newfound best friends Dan and Ryan have influenced me to appreciate an entirely new sport…PORK!!!

Who Needs The Superbowl…

Pork Can Be A Sport

…When You Can Have A Porkbowl?

You Can Play It Too

That’s right, Porklandia has some really badass pockets of pork heaven if you know what you are looking for and where to look.  We have found some good places to get quality pork from and Kyoko has taught me the art of pork roast, which I really use to loathe as a kid…or so I thought.  So it turns out that I really love pork roast as well as many other things including pie, cake, pot pies, casseroles, tofu, wine, garlic and the list goes on.

You Know You Want To

There is a phrase in project management that is “trash in, trash out” basically, translated into foodie terms, if you use crap ingredients don’t be surprised when your meal tastes like crap.  After marrying Kyoko and moving to PDX, I threw every misconception I had about food out the door, adopting a “try anything” approach to life, food, health and wellness…everything.  The only thing that keeps us from living life well is our own past experiences and misconceptions, toss them out the door, try a mouthful of savory pork roast, kick back and have a red chair.
