Archives For Divinity

As I have begun to go about changing many things in my life which I am not particularly thrilled with, I have found myself seeking new ways of being and one of my greatest resources for change is music.  There is a hook in the middle of this Dredg song called “Same ol’ Road” that I absolutely love which is akin to poetic philosophy:

“All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood
In a modest town where honest people dwell
Making the cleanest energy for the greenest plants to grow
Richest soil that is drenched with the freshest rain
Then you should sit in your backyard
Watch clouds peak over the tallest mountain tops
Cuz they unveil honest opinions about the stars”

I am using these lyrics as a kind of personal mantra to help de-clutter my life, my head and keep in focus the things I value in life.  Here is the video of the song which is itself a visual work of art:

If you have not heard music by Dredg, go check them out because their music is amazing and they are even better live.

Today was a fusterating day of me trying to get things done and not that much happening other then starting to come down with a cold so I just need to remind myself of a quote that my friend JJ passed along to me:

“Little by litte one walks far”

I have no idea where the quote comes from if you know who the author is post a comment. If you use a cool technology or quote engine to find it post a link to that too.

My friend Chris Stefan found that this is a Pruevian Proverb author unknown see the comment section for the link.
